About the Author
Katherine Anderson grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She earned a Masters in Teaching at the University of Washington, and worked at Seattle’s famous Pacific Science Center for six years specializing in programs for young scientists ages 2-6 years old. She loves working with children and exploring the world through their eyes; she believes that children are inherent scientists.
Her goal is to create beautiful picture books for young readers that center under-represented groups in both science and children’s literature.
She currently resides in Washington with her spouse, Byram. Her favorite animal is an orca.
